Dr. Filippo Gagliardi is actively involved in the development of clinical and preclinical research projects in the following areasi:

Preclinical research

  • Search for new oncogenes and biomarkers in the treatment of brain tumors.

  • Molecular characterization of stem cells derived from brain tumors.

  • Development of innovative brain tumor imaging protocols and radiogenomic studies.

Clinical research

  • Development of innovative microsurgical techniques for the treatment of brain tumors.

  • Development of new training models in neurosurgery.

  • Collaborates on the development of clinical trial for new drugs for the treatment of nervous system tumors.

  • Co-founder of the San Raffaele biobank for the study of central nervous system pathologies.

Dr. Filippo Gagliardi in the lab with Dr. Rossella Galli, Group Leader of the Neural Stem Cell Biology Unit, Division of Regenerative Medicine, Stem Cells and Gene Therapy at San Raffaele Hospital, during their research activity on cancer stem cells. Dr. Gagliardi and Dr. Galli continue to actively collaborate on several preclinical research projects on nervous system tumors.
